Join us as we come together to care for the house of the Lord and one another. Our church building and grounds have served us faithfully; now we’ll serve them. Everyone is invited to help with tasks both inside and out: dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, taking out trash, and replacing or repairing anything torn or broken. No skill is too small — bring willing hands, a servant’s heart, and, if you have them, tools such as gloves, rakes, screwdrivers, pliers, or a paint brush.
Schedule:
9:00 AM — Arrival, welcome, quick prayer, and task assignments
9:15 AM–1:30 PM — Work teams in assigned areas (interior rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, fellowship hall, entryways, exterior grounds, landscaping, minor repairs)
1:30 PM–2:00 PM — Final walkthrough, tool cleanup, and closing prayer
What to bring:
Work gloves
Comfortable closed-toe shoes
Weather-appropriate clothing that can get dirty
Any personal tools you prefer to use (optional)
A heart ready to serve
Children are welcome when accompanied by parents or guardians and assigned age-appropriate tasks. Adult supervision required.
Why we do this?
The church’s commitment to renovating the girls’ group home represents our faith in action—honoring Christ by serving the vulnerable and restoring dignity. We provide a secure, nurturing space where young lives can heal and flourish. Through our time, resources, and compassionate presence, we affirm that every child is cherished and deserving of stability, comfort, and opportunity. We exemplify community responsibility, urging others to invest in lasting solutions, not temporary fixes. This endeavor fortifies Blount County, builds trust with the families we serve, and empowers volunteers to live out Scripture’s call to care for orphans and those in need, transforming mercy into genuine hope and a foundation for brighter futures.
Contact us with any questions. We look forward to serving together.
